1. Overview

Drive Sync is a personal, locally-run tool that syncs a folder on your computer to your own Google Drive. It is developed and maintained by Ahmed as an independent personal project. This policy explains what data Drive Sync accesses, how it is used, and how it is stored.

2. Information accessed

When you sign in with Google, Drive Sync requests the OAuth scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file. This scope only allows access to files and folders that Drive Sync itself creates in your Google Drive. It does not grant access to any other files, folders, or data in your Drive.

3. How information is used

The access granted through Google sign-in is used solely to upload and update the local files you choose to sync to your own Google Drive. Drive Sync does not use your data for any other purpose.

4. Storage

Your Google OAuth token is stored locally on your own computer. No files, tokens, personal data, or any other information are sent to or stored on any server operated by me. Everything stays on your machine.

5. Sharing

No data is sold, shared, transferred, or disclosed to any third party. Drive Sync does not include analytics, tracking, telemetry, or advertising of any kind.

7. Revoking access

You can revoke Drive Sync's access to your Google account at any time by visiting myaccount.google.com/permissions. You may also delete the locally stored token file from your computer to remove the saved credentials.

8. Data retention and deletion

Files uploaded by Drive Sync remain in your Google Drive until you choose to delete them. The app keeps no copies of your files elsewhere. Once you revoke access and delete the local token, no trace of your data remains with the app.

9. Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of Drive Sync after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
